My name is Verónica Padilla and I was born in Murcia (Spain).
Before coming to Switzerland in 2017, I owned and ran a centre for biomechanical podiatry in León (ES), specialising in pathology, biomechanics and diabetic foot care.
As my qualification is recognised in Switzerland, I have been able to work as a podiatrist at the University Hospital of Bern (Inselspital) since 2018. On medical prescription — mainly in the nephrology department — I also learned how to treat wounds.
You can find more about my professional background in the “Education” section.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring Switzerland in summer by hiking and climbing/mountaineering. I am also interested in history and in the diversity of other cultures.
I stand for honesty, experience and commitment. For every client I apply all my recognised Swiss qualifications and competencies to the best of my knowledge, always striving for the best possible outcome.

Partial treatment* is intended for patients with a single, localised issue — for example, removal of a corn or a localised callus (hyperkeratosis), or treatment of an ingrown toenail.
Full treatment (60 minutes)* is a comprehensive foot-care session. If needed, it includes assessment/diagnosis, hygiene and an appropriate therapeutic treatment tailored to your individual needs.
Full treatment (90 minutes)* is intended for patients who need a combined treatment or more than 60 minutes, as well as diabetic patients with a medical prescription visiting for the first time.
*Billing is based on the treatment time booked online, even if the treatment requires less time. Thank you for your understanding.
Your booking is only confirmed once you have received the confirmation email. Please make sure you complete the booking process correctly.
All treatment times include hygiene measures and instrument preparation (approx. 15 minutes) in accordance with the Swiss Podiatry Association’s hygiene guidelines.
If you cannot attend your appointment, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling requests can be made by email, WhatsApp or via voicemail; they must be confirmed by me to avoid being charged.
From 1 January 2022, podiatrists can bill medical foot care for people with diabetes who have a risk factor for diabetic foot syndrome via the mandatory health insurance (OKP). A medical prescription is required.
I have all the required training and licences. You can find confirmation of my professional authorisation in the national health professions register at www.nareg.ch.
Several supplementary insurances for people with diabetes mellitus still cover part of the costs of podiatry treatments. Please contact your health insurer regarding reimbursement. I will be happy to provide an annual receipt.
